THE BLUEGRASS PARLOR BAND
The Bluegrass Parlor Band was established in 1988 by syndicated radio personality Tom Henderson. His vision of providing a professional atmosphere for honing the talents of you musicians with exceptional ability had paid off in launching several noteworthy bluegrass careers. Among the better known alumni are fiddlers Aubrey Haynie and David Crow.
The current lineup includes Jimmie White on bass. His musicianship provides the rock solid timing for which the current band is known.
Cory and Jarrod Walker on banjo and mandolin provide a very strong instrumental component of the band. Their musicianship has brought them acclaim on CBS, ABC and Grand Ole Opry, and significant national airplay of their recordings. Cory and Jarrod's harmony vocals add to the variety of the BPB sound.
Cory and Jarrod's younger brother, Tyler Walker plays solid lead and rhythm guitar as well as handling the tenor singing duties.
Lakeland native Austin Wilder is a key member of the band. His exciting guitar leads compliment his smooth, clear lead and harmony vocals.
The old man of the band is Jeff Jones. Jeff has been in the band for 20 years playing mandolin, banjo, guitar and bass as needed. Jeff has been doing a tremendous job picking the banjo when Cory is playing his other gig with Sierra Hull.
The Band prides itself on its fun and energetic presence which will provide entertainment for those of us who love bluegrass.
